1. Focus attention together – look at things together, point to things and name them.
2. Look at books together, name pictures, read stories to them.
3. Get down to their level and face them as you speak.
4. Get a stroller where the child sits facing you so you can talk to him.
5. Remove the pacifier and turn off the TV. Play with your child.
